Types of Pallet Racking

Wide Aisle Pallet Racking
Adjustable Pallet Racking conforming with British Standard BS EN 15512.
Good quality pallets are stored on pairs of beams. Optional Timber Decking or Wire Mesh Decking provides for storage of varying sized goods.

Narrow Aisle Pallet Racking
High racking and long runs make best use of VNA (Very Narrow Ailse) trucks that don’t need to turn in the aisles.
These trucks require guidance to keep on a straight path. Wire Guidance is supplied with the truck or Mechanical Guide Rail is supplied with the racking.

Heavy Duty Coil Racking
Coil Racks allow for the storage of any material rolled in coils.
This type of pallet racking is fitted with special supports that the coil cradles are mounted onto. The storage solution for coiled materials needs to be extremely heady-duty to ensure the coils can be stored safely without risk of collapse.

Outdoor Racking
Pallet Racking should be Hot-Dip Galvanised for outdoor use. This provides the best level of long-term protection against corrosion.
But it’s not simply about an alternative finish. Outdoor racking systems must be designed to cope with snow and wind loadings on the pallets.

Drive-In Racking
Very dense storage is achieved by placing pallets at the far end of Drive-In lanes, then by working forwards to fill the lanes. This system requires only one loading aisle. A FILO (first-in, last-out) system.

Pallet Flow Live Racking
Pallets are loaded onto inclined beds of rollers and flow from a loading aisle to a picking aisle.
Braked rollers control the rate of descent. Provides high density storage with two aisles creating a FIFO (fist-in, first-out) storage system.

Push-Back Racking
Only one loading aisle provides high density storage but compared with Drive-in, Push-Back Racking reduces forklift travel.
The first pallets to be loaded are pushed back into the racking by the subsequent pallets. A FILO (first-in, last-out) system.

Shuttle Racking
Pallets are placed on powered remote controlled lifting shuttles that take pallets deep into the racking system whilst the forklift trucks are working elsewhere.
A high-density storage system that will bring pallets to the front when required.
