HOW TO WORK

It may seem a bit paradoxical at first, but it’s not impossible that telecommuting promotes team cohesion!
And yes, colleagues, when they’re not there, we miss them. We measure how important keeping in touch is for the well-being of telecommuting. Theirs and ours.
So, as there is telework, there can be a TV… Team? Well, it’s up to us!

In telecommuting, keeping in touch is good for morale!

MAINTAINING THE RITUALS OF CONVIVIALITY

Saying hello in the morning to your entire team by turning on your computer and saying goodbye when disconnected is the easiest way to keep in touch.

In addition elaborate, you also have the accompanying attention:

  • The thought of the day
  • The photo of the cat confined to the radiator
  • The party you want

The morning coffee break as a team to kick off the day – and a bit to spoil the fashionable series – you don’t have to give it up. You need a schedule, a camera and… Coffee. Many teams have already done it, every day or once a week.

As the day progresses, a nice message on WhatsApp, and why not useful, is a pleasant way to keep the link in a pro/perso register. Like in the office, what!

  • A good joke or viral video of the moment
  • A tip to keep children busy during video conferences
  • A tip to boost your wifi

MAKING APPOINTMENTS

Our well-being in telecommuting relies heavily on our ability to disconnect. The idea, is to disconnect to several. We slip into the personal register but welcome co-workers. Always to keep in touch, but otherwise.

For lunch, there are two schools:

  • The video date. We each eat at home but together by interposed screens
  • Revenue sharing. The inspiration may come to miss, cook together, each offering a menu in turn, is entertaining and nourishing …

Many colleagues already meet every Friday night in videoconference to celebrate the end of the week of confinement, via a “video-aperitif”. This is an additional opportunity to unwind together and share a friendly moment. Confinement or not, it’s always in moderation.

DOING THINGS YOU CAN’T DO IN THE OFFICE

Containment can also have its upsides and provide an opportunity to discover unknown facets of the personality of one’s colleagues.

Imagination is all the more stimulated as the possibilities for action are limited.

The basic ingredient is the internet connection. After that, it’s up to you. But as a team!

  • Take part in small online games
  • Organize challenges related to the constraints of confinement and telecommuting: occupying children or decorating your telecommuting space
  • Give yourself an appointment each morning for 30 minutes of muscle awakening or relaxation exercises all together to start the day in top shape.

In telecommuting, keeping in touch is also a matter of technology!

SPARK TO SORT HIS EMAILS

Telework necessarily induces a higher volume of emails. Emails have replaced open-space asides or conversations between two doors!

To keep in touch but we protect each other from overflowing emails, there is already the solution of e-confinement!

It is up to all of us to be careful to send our messages to the few genuinely concerned recipients and not to copy everyone.

Technology can also help you complete this good practice. It is indeed possible to schedule a sorting upstream of the reception to receive only the messages that matter to us. This little miracle, for example, is Spark’s algorithm that allows us to do so.

Try: the app is free to download!

ZOOM FOR REMOTE MEETINGS

Solutions already exist in most companies to keep in touch as a team. Microsoft Teams has joined the pioneers Skype and Webex.

You should also try Zoom, available for free download. The solution has two advantages:

  • Flying meetings in large numbers with ease (up to 1000 participants)
  • Blur each participant’s background; a plus to preserve the privacy of your home!

GOOGLE DRIVE FOR COLLABORATIVE WORK

Collaborative work did not wait for Coronavirus! You probably already know Google Drive.

Let us say that in a containment situation, we have no choice. To send us files and share files, it’s now 100% online!

The interest of Google Drive is its telework power! You can work together and simultaneously on Word, Excel or PowerPoint. Let’s bet it’s a habit you’ll keep when you get back to the office…

In conclusion, there are a thousand and one ways to keep in touch with your colleagues when you are confined to telework!
